Key Responsibilities

April – May:

  • Develop a detailed work plan with tasks and deadlines.
  • Organize and oversee steering committee meetings, including setting agendas and preparing materials.
  • Establish collaboration with Technical and Scientific Cooperation Centers for knowledge-sharing.
  • Prepare agendas, scripts, and summaries for the first quarterly members’ meeting.
  • Promote the partnership and refine recruitment strategies.
  • Review three NBSAPs submitted to the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD).
  • Draft the Terms of Reference (ToR) for the Technical Advisory Committee.

June – July:

  • Manage steering committee meeting preparations.
  • Develop promotional materials to showcase partnership achievements and attract donors.
  • Design a Members Work Program assessing benefits and renewal processes.
  • Continue outreach for new and existing members.
  • Plan a donor roundtable meeting with agenda, participants, and engagement strategies.
  • Establish the NBSAP Accelerator Partnership Technical Advisory Committee.

August:

  • Compile a report on co-chair engagement strategies.
  • Provide advocacy materials for environmental representation at global events.
  • Develop onboarding materials for new members and co-chairs.
  • Organize the second quarterly members’ meeting.
  • Refine the membership strategy and governance policies.
  • Submit a detailed report on membership structure and progress.

Qualifications & Skills

Education:

  • Advanced degree in management, international development, environmental science, or a related field.
  • A bachelor’s degree with two extra years of relevant experience may be considered.

Experience:

  • At least five years of experience in biodiversity conservation projects.
  • Strong background in stakeholder engagement and partnership building.
  • Experience in project development and organizing high-level meetings.
  • Familiarity with international biodiversity policies and NBSAP implementation.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.
  • Knowledge of other UN languages (French, Spanish, or German) is a plus.
